Settling Into The Flow of Change

Jan 29, 2024

There is always a lot happening in life. Change is the only constant.

Do you ever feel resistant to change?

Do you struggle to move on when thinking about the past?

Do you feel remorse, longing, or regret?

Are you scared or anxious about the future, even if your dreams are heartwarming?

Every day of life is filled with change. We change clothes, diets, and partners. We start new routines. People grow old. New ones are born. We move homes and attend new schools and jobs. The foliage, weather, and temperature on Earth change hourly.

It's the one thing we can count on—change.

Yet, it also gives rise to so much consternation.

The kids grow up and move away, causing nostalgia.

Relationships come and go, creating a sense of longing and loneliness.

Businesses ebb and flow, enflaming worrying about what's next.

The weather, date, and month change by the second, producing anxiety about missed opportunities.

How does one settle into the flow of change instead of pushing against it? Is there a way to allow this natural and inevitable process without feeling resistant?

I'm happy to tell you there is. The only requirement is a slightly enhanced POV (point of view).

I've found the most significant emotional, mental, and physical relief when dealing with the dynamics of change to be a simple shift in my POV.

POV is easy to understand in fiction writing.

An author pens the story from a particular point of view: first, second, third person (limited or omniscient), or fourth person point of view.

First-person POV uses the pronouns "I" or "we."

Second-person POV uses the pronoun "you."

Third person uses "she," "he," "they," or "it." Third-person limited is when the narrator only knows the thoughts of one person. Third-person omniscient is the narrator knows the thoughts of more than one person.

Fourth person POV uses indefinite pronouns such as "one," "oneself," "someone," or "anyone."

Why is POV important?

Every fiction or non-fiction story has a narrator.

  1. They exist either inside or outside the story.
  2. They tell the story from their unique perspective.
  3. Understanding the narrator's POV clarifies the story for the reader.

Certain POVs limit the amount of information the author shares with the reader. Other POVs expand the amount of information the author conveys.

Switching POVs is not recommended in writing, especially for newbies. The storyline can become discombobulated, making the plot difficult to follow.

In human life, switching POVs from first-person (human POV) to third-person omniscient (spirit POV) gives you—the human being narrating your life's script—a greater sense of power and flow regarding change.

How does switching POVs from your first-person "I" perspective to a third-person spirit-self "she," he," they," or "it" perspective help you go with the flow more?

When seeing your life through the eyes of spirit (when you take the "she," "he," or "they" POV, you are outside your life looking in instead of inside looking out), you automatically feel the vibration of love and acceptance. There's no "trying harder" to relax and go with the flow. It's built into the POV. It's an automatic condition.

Getting to the empowered spirit-self POV requires only a tiny shift in perspective. Use your imagination to get there now. See your life from the perspective of an omniscient spirit narrator.

Get out of your head and into an ethereal space where you can see more accurately how and why change happens. Take yourself to the mountaintop in your imagination and see all the beautiful possibilities and opportunities change offers.

Your spirit self doesn't vibrate in the frequency of regret, doubt, or limitation, so when you slip into this all-knowing POV, you naturally see things, including change, from a joyfully expectant POV.

You can't see life through the eye of your spirit self unless you shift your vibration. Until you switch from your "change is scary because it's unwanted or unknown" physical POV to the frequency of your abundance-based spirit self, your spirit self's unique POV is unreachable.

The good news is you already know how to shift into the vibration of your spirit self.

Remember that time when you felt light and easy?

Perhaps you heard a great joke and found yourself rolling in laughter. Maybe it was when you ate a delicious meal at your favorite restaurant after being away for weeks. Or, it might have been when you crawled into your cozy bed after a long day, feeling intense relief.

That easy, go-with-the-flow feeling might have come when you felt an overwhelming appreciation for nature, a pet, or a loved one.

It doesn't matter how or when (past, present, future) you attained that state of ease. Everyone has felt this aligned energy flow at some point in life. Thus, you've seen life through the eyes of your spirit self; the evidence lies in how you felt.

This is an important recognition to make. Knowing you've already seen life through your spirit self's eyes makes the next part much easier to understand.

When looking through the eyes of spirit, time and space (i.e., change) are experienced differently.

Your spirit controls change; change doesn't control Spirit.

Spirit is the architect of a diversified human experience. Diversity (mental, physical, emotional, and psychological) is the basis of the human experience.

Spirit does experience change (another way to think about (the concept of) change is differentiation) as linear but as a "smorgasbord of experiences" that match one's momentary vibration.

Spirit selects its experiences by altering its vibration. The "choice" or "change of venue" instantly appears. Spirit doesn't travel from here to there or at a designated time like the physical self seems to.

Spirit understands the benefit of its timeless, abundant POV. Your spirit self can "pluck" any experience it desires "out of time" (from the infinite moment of now) and from "any place" (space/location).

In this way, change is constant because the frames of reference constantly switch to either more of the same or something different. More of the same creates the appearance of stagnation. Switching frames of reference produces the side effect of change.

How does that happen? This is a reality based on frequency. Altering frequency produces change.

In spirit, everything exists at once, and the experiences one wishes to engage with are always available—here and now. Thus, change is never feared and always celebrated.

All experiences of time and space are deduced to one: here and now.

This is why engaging a third-person omniscient human POV is critical to settling into the flow (process) of change.

When you slip into your loving, knowing spirit-self POV, you see that change isn't limiting or to be feared. A natural byproduct of that POV's vibration is your physical self also relaxes.

Spirit, or Nonphysical consciousness, is your dominant state of being. When you let go of resistance, you automatically align with your spirit self's easy-going vibration. Change isn't scary anymore or something to hold at bay.

Your spirit-self's POV is akin to the narrator's third-person omniscient.

When you see through your spirit self's POV that change isn't uncontrollable, you relax into the creative flow.

You feel the vitality of knowing change is exciting because what, when, and how you change is up to you.

How do you create the change you desire? Vibrational tuning.

In spirit, you intuitively understand that change is orchestrated from within. When you desire a particular experience, you tune your vibration to the frequency of that experience.

Space and time for Nonphysical consciousness are not locations on a map or the clock's tick-tock. Spirit doesn't go from one place to another. Only the physical self experiences this unique interpretation of changing frequency.

Frequency is how Spirit engages with different experiences. I encourage you to adopt more of this unique and timeless POV. Life's changes will feel less restrictive and flow more easily.
