Experiencing Infinite Abundance for Yourself

Nov 05, 2021

My kids had an argument on Monday. By Friday they had their perfection solution. Allow me to attempt to explain what can only be understood through experiential learning.

When a child graduates from high school in our family, they get a new computer to use. During their undergraduate years, they use the Chromebook provided by our school district.

I've got a high school senior and sophomore left at home so we've been talking to the senior about getting a new computer in the spring. It was all so simple until a new idea was introduced by me: get them both new computers for the holidays.

We've been discussing this possibility for a few months. Why would I add undo stress to our lives? The younger one is deep into the gaming world. She's also on the competitive robotics team. Getting her a better computer now would allow her to get a head start on coding and gaming. She also wants to start a Youtube gaming channel.

These two siblings are extremely close. They love spending time together and when they fight it makes them both very upset.

Sofia (the sophomore) has been researching gaming computers for months. She did hours of research and its her thing.

Stellan (the senior, who uses they/them pronouns so try not to get confused) hasn't done any research but loves to spend time with Sofia gaming.

Once Sofia announced the computer she wanted, Stellan simply said, "I'll get that one too!"

That didn't sit well with Sofia. From her perspective, it was her thang. She did all the research and she did not want the same computer as her sibling. That hardly seemed fair to her.

So they fought.

They got sad.

They felt stuck.

There were tears, anger and shouting.

To them, it looked like there was no solution except to get Stellan a lesser computer of the same brand but that didn't still well with Stellan. Their younger sister wasn't going to get a better computer. NO way!

So, I asked them to each separately process what they were thinking and feeling using I statements.

I listened. "Tell me more about that," I said.

Then I asked, "How do you want to feel? Give me some words."

Happy. Satisfied. Easy. Optimistic. Like things are fair.

Then I did the unthinkable. I asked both kids to suspend their disbelief.

"For just this moment, can we entertain the idea that there's a solution where you can both get what you want and need and you're both happy? What if there was such a thing in the world as the perfect solution?"

"We don't have to know WHAT that solution is or looks like today. Instead let's just sit with that idea and be okay knowing there are infinite ways this could be resolved," I said.

Today is Friday. It's 4 days later.

Sofia came bounding down the stairs this morning with a perfect solution. She'd found another computer company that offered a similar computer with which Stellan was happy. They could both get comparable computers but different brands.

I can tell you (dear reader) about the infinite abundance of the universe until the cows come home but it won't matter that much if you don't experience it from your perspective. It's something you must experience for yourself.

So how do you get there .... to this place of believing and witnessing firsthand the infinite abundance and solution-focused universe? Follow the steps I mentioned above. I'll list them here too.

  1. Honestly process your feelings from your perspective. Don't blame someone else. Don't point fingers at someone or something else exacerbating the feeling of discomfort.
  2. Shift the feeling of discomfort by talking about how you'd rather feel. Be easy about it and just pick a few words that feel good.
  3. Suspend your disbelief for a few days that you're destined for failure or that nothing ever works out for you.
  4. When you get an inspired idea, follow it. See where it leads you.

Sofia had clearly done step 4 on her own. Once she had suspended her disbelief, she followed her inspired ideas which lead her to discover another option.

As she was talking about the possible new solution, I asked her to recognize what we talked about on Monday. She did. She recognized the process for moving into a better space and then allowing.

It's very important to be self-aware in the creative process. We're all creating our own realities and the more we can acknowledge the creative process and how to effectively problem solve the easier it'll be next time we feel like we're between a rock and a hard place.

The problem and the solution do not exist on the same wave length. When you're focused on the problem, you can't see the solution as easily or quickly.

If you're stuck in the vibe of the problem ruminating on how you'll never find a solution, then the solution will evade you for a longer period of time. The sooner you can relax into the idea that there is a perfect solution where everyone can be happy the sooner you'll feel inspired to find it.

Inspired ideas lead you to better solutions.

Ideas generated out of fear and lack lead you to solutions that are less than ideal.

As I write this I can't confirm that we have, in fact, found our exact solution but that's not the point of this article.

My point is that following the process I've suggested gets you into your flow state. It gets you into the right vibe to encounter solutions that feel good to you sooner rather than later.

I know that sharing an anecdote doesn't make this process true for you. I'm very aware of that fact.

Living it does though. Living your life with a heightened sense of awareness and knowledge about how you create your reality does help you realize a truth.

It's called experiential learning. Learning by experiencing is the only true learning there is in life.

So, give this process a try next time you find yourself in a pickle or an argument where it appears that there's no solution. The most important part of the process is where you let go of the negative feeling and allow yourself to gently drift into a better, more optimistic energy.

How long will it take for your answer to reveal itself to you? That totally depends on you. If you stay in a state of allowance (this is a feeling NOT a mental or action process) and begin feeling your way along with the happier sensations you listed, it'll come sooner.

Why? Happier vibes are called positive vibrations. Positive as an energetic structure is inclusive, expansive, and integrative. When you're feeling good, you're attracting the better (higher vibe) solutions to reveal themselves in your reality.

Let me know how this approach works for you? You can send me a question about it or sharing a story with me: [email protected].

To be honest, I'm actually quite surprised that my kids allowed my help finding a solution. Typically, they don't want to hear what I have to say. 🤣

That's okay though. I get it. I'm just Mom. Instead I get to explore this information with students/clients regularly. If you're interested in talking about potentially working together in a 1-2-1 mentorship capacity, let's schedule a brief discovery call. I'm not a sales person, just so you know. I'm an educator. We'll just talk about whether or not the Accelerate Your Mojo program is right for you or not. If yes, I have deeply discounted tuition on 1-2-1 mentorship for two months from November 1, 2021 until December 31, 2021. It's 70% off regular tuition. I can tell you about the program and mentorship when we talk. It's a fantastic program fostering individualized learning and outcomes. The button below this post contains more information about the program if you'd like to explore on your own before we talk. The link below contains the regular tuition price but if you'd prefer the holiday 70% off tuition discounted pricing, we can do that instead.
